Triangle scarf
never gets old
We never tire of triangle scarves, do we?
The classic triangle scarf
This scarf called Ina’s Klud (that’s Danish for Ina’s cloth) is a simple triangle scarf that Keturah of Flora’s Flat wrote about, it’s designed by Ina Rendboe.
I like it because one of the suggested yarns is Filcolana Arwetta, one of my favourite non-itch yarns (which is super inportant for hats and scarves). It looks almost identical to a triangle scarf called Poet Scarf (featured further down), but has a different edge.
The elongated triangle scarf
An elongated version of a triangle scarf is equally practical. Sophie Scarf by Petite Knit has been around for a while (and there are several similar ones by other designers), I see so many versions of the Sophie Scarf on so many people, and they are all so lovely and wearable, whether they are knitted in cashmere or alpaca wool. They are so easy and fast to knit that you can knit one in each of your favoutire colours and always have a splash of colour to wear near your face.
Another one of the elongated triangle scarf is the multicoloured Sister act by Mary Annarella of Lyrical Knits. I find the texture of this design mesmerising. She even included a video on how to wear a triangle scarf. Watch it here!
I bought the pattern, and found that it includes two varieties, Sister Act Soul Sister and Sister Act Twisted Sister. My personal favourite is the simpler Twisted Sister, which is the one that I will try knitting first. I love the way she has used a variegated yarn as the contrast yarn:
The very large triangle scarf
If you want a larger triangle scarf, more of a triangle shawl, Isager has a beautiful one called Camomille:
The triangle headscarf
While we’re on the triangle theme, how about knitting a cute kerchief? Any triangle scarf, like the Poet Scarf by Darling Jadore can also be used as a kerchief.
I also found this one called Softly Softly Around the House in Ravelry, so quick and easy in garter stitch. If you want a bit more detail, this one called Kits Kerchief has an adorable lace edge.

Ooo!! Some lovely ideas here. Sister Act is so striking! And Camomille is lovely. I really loved knitting Ina's Klud and want to knit one for myself. P.S. Thank you for mentioning my Substack 💓
